The Phoenix Edge team is under the collaborative direction of Ron Jacoby, MD, who has over 30 years experience in Internal Medicine and was the on-call physician for Lucas Films during the filming of the original Star Wars films. Phil Kolarczyk

Phil Kolarczyk  |  MPAS, PA-C, Founder

Originally from the Altoona Pennsylvania area, Phil earned his undergraduate degree at Lafayette College in Easton, PA, where he also played football for the Leopards. 


After relocating to Texas, Phil embarked on his medical career and obtained his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch. While in Texas, Phil began focusing his career on weight loss and hormone replacement therapy. His passion for making people feel great and look great continued for the last several years in the Triad. When Phil is not working, he enjoys golfing, hiking, watching football and spending time with his family.

Jennifer Hanopole - The Phoenix Edge

Jennifer Hanopole  |  MPAS, PA-C, DHSc

Jennifer is a North Carolina native who earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland at College Park. She obtained her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Radford University in Roanoke, Virigina. She began her career in Urology focusing on hormone replacement therapy. Jennifer has an extensive background in critical care medicine and internal medicine. Jennifer is proficient in metabolic medicine and obesity as she aided the establishment of a Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) and Blue Distinction Center. She later pursued her doctoral degree in Health Sciences with Radford University. She is double board certified with Certificate of Added Qualifications in Hospitalist Medicine and Psychiatry.


Jennifer joined Phoenix Edge in March of 2023 after becoming a patient before when struggling with hormonal changes and seeing the benefits of hormone replacement therapy.  She has a passion for helping others rediscover who they are and truly becoming “you again”. In her free time, you can usually find her at a ball field with her son, escaping to the beach or on a hike with her dogs.

Barbara Beck - The Phoenix Edge

Barbara Beck  |  MPAS, PA-C

Barbara earned her undergraduate degree at Fairfield University in Connecticut and her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from SUNY Stony Brook in New York. She spent nearly 15 years as a firefighter and EMT in New York and is currently a volunteer firefighter for the Summerfield Fire District here in North Carolina. 


Barbara has over 30 years of experience fighting her own battle with morbid obesity. She has a Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity Medicine accredited by the Obesity Medicine Association. And after experiencing the benefits of using bioidentical hormone pellets to help with her weight gain, fatigue, joint pain, and sleep disturbances, she became a Biote-certified hormone replacement provider to help patients experience relief of their own symptoms!


Niki Sanchez

Niki Sanchez  |  Director of 1st Impressions

Hola! Niki has been a member of ourteam since May of 2023 and thrives as an integral part in welcoming you to our clinic. Her joy stems from building connections with patients and learning about various medical conditions and treatments. Seeing our patients smile brings her immense satisfaction. Beyond work, she enjoys cooking and sharing quality moments with her family.

Michelle Green -The Phoenix Edge

Michelle Greene  |  MS RCEP, Clinical Exercise Physiologist | Health Coach

Michelle has been a personal trainer and a health coach since 2008. She has experience in both commercial, and hospital-based wellness facilities. She is most passionate about educating men and women how hormonal imbalances at any age will affect metabolism and an individual's ability to lose or maintain their weight. With Michelle as your health coach, you will learn how to reach your personal health goals throughout the various stages of life.

Selena Robinson  |  Office Admin

Selena is a NC native who obtained her Associates in Applied Science in 2015. She started in medical billing and coding and switched to the clinical aspect, where she has experience in both front and back office roles. She enjoys connecting with her patients and is passionate about helping everyone feel their best. When not at work, Selena enjoys photography and spending time with her daughter.

Dusty Davis -The Phoenix Edge

Dusty Davis  |  ASCP Certified Phlebotomist

Dusty was born and raised in Randolph County. She has been an ASCP certified phlebotomist since 2006. She worked with cancer and hematology patients for the last 15 years. Dusty loves connecting with her patients and bringing a smile to their face. When not at work, she enjoys being with her children and working on DIY projects.

Aubrey Nelson -The Phoenix Edge

Aubrey Nelson  |  Registered Medical Assistant 

Aubrey is originally from Pennsylvania, where she started her career working in the healthcare industry. After spending time as a CNA, Aubrey earned her Associates in Applied Science degree in 2018 and has been working as a Medical Assistant ever since. She enjoys getting to know her patients, helping them achieve their goals and celebrating their successes along the way. When Aubrey isn't busy helping others feel their best, she can be found spending time with her family or playing with her schnauzers. 

Ciarra Brown - The Phoenix Edge

Ciarra Brown  |  Medical Assistant

Ciarra was born and raised in southern Ohio, where she has worked as a Medical Assistant since 2015. She recently moved to NC with her husband and 2 daughters. They love the weather here and enjoy taking trips to the beaches in NC. Ciarra LOVES baseball, her household roots for the Cleveland Guardians. She also enjoys camping, painting, and spending time with her loved ones.

Isabel Yanez - The Phoenix Edge

Isabel Yanez  |  Medical Assistant

Hola! Isabel is a North Carolina native who is a dedicated mediacal assistant that finds fulfillment in connecting with patients and witnessing their smiles. Her passion lies in helping individuals achieve their health goals. Beyond the medical realm, she cherishes free time spent with family and her lovable Frenchie.
